iPhone users tip - How to use Easy Wi-Fi app

I like the Easy Wi-Fi app from Devicescape so here's a tip from them...

    Easy Wi-Fi Makes AT&T Wi-Fi Even Better

Got an AT&T iPhone plan? Received a text message from AT&T telling you that you have free Wi-Fi access at their hotspots? We did too, but we think that all that switching between Safari and the SMS app is too complex. Here's how to make getting connected a single button push:

    1. Delete any existing AT&T Wi-Fi account from your Devicescape account (you won't need it anymore).
    2. Search for a new hotspot called "AT&T Wi-Fi (iPhone)" and add it to your account. Tip: You can find it by entering a search beginning "att".
    3. Enter your 10 digit AT&T iPhone telephone number in the box; there's no password needed.

You're done. Now, whenever you're in an AT&T hotspot, like Starbucks, launch Easy Wi-Fi and we'll log you in. No need for Safari, no need to wait for a text message. Easy!

If you don't already have Easy Wi-Fi for your iPhone, it's available at the Apple App Store.

Devicescape for iPhone and iPod Touch

    More AT&T Wi-Fi Tips

    Haven't Got an iPhone?

Download Easy Wi-Fi for PCs, Mac, Windows Mobile, and Nokia phones at devicescape.com!

If You're an AT&T Broadband Subscriber

If you have an AT&T broadband account you likely can use AT&T hotspots in the US with your home broadband username and password. If you can't remember them, dig them out from your home router! Add the hotspot account "AT&T WiFi" to your Devicescape account. Be sure to type in the full username, including everything after the "@" sign, since AT&T has several different domains in use (e.g. joeplumber@attwifi.com or soccermom@sbcglobal.net)

If You Have a Starbucks Card

If you're a Starbucks lover and have a card, you can get 2 hours of free AT&T Wi-Fi per day. Sign up for the card and you can enter the username and password into your Devicescape "AT&T WiFi" account. Remember to include "@attwifi.com" after the username they give you.

    Best wishes,
    The Devicescape Team.

    /Thomas

    PRESENTATION
    -------------
Three-dimensional, immersive virtual worlds have long held promise for
delivering more powerful and visually richer user experiences for both
consumer (beyond gaming) and enterprise use.  But until recently, this
promise has failed to be realized for a range of technical and social
reasons.  Now, virtual world solutions like Second Life have become a
platform for innovation, rich collaboration, discovery, economics, and
social networking, and enable vibrant eco-systems for developers to
extend product functionality in a scalable way that a single company
would be hard-pressed to match.  Such innovation in turn influences the
evolution of the platform itself, while also blazing new trails in
intellectual property, virtual currency, open source development, and
    interoperability.

This presentation will explore this evolution and describe how a
community of developers and users has shaped today's immersive, 3D
    virtual world experiences.

    -----------------
    ABOUT THE SPEAKER
    -----------------
Jim Yang is Director of Product Management for Linden Lab, creators of
Second Life and its revolutionary new form of shared experience where
individuals jointly inhabit a 3D landscape and build the world around
them.  Jim has extensive product management experience in consumer and
enterprise software, and has led product management teams at eBay,
Yahoo!, and Netscape.  Jim is passionate about building world-class
products and exploring new paradigms that transform user experiences.

Jim has an MBA from Stanford Business School and BS/MS degrees in
Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley.
